Sixteen Stone, Bush's debut album, was a design collaboration between myself and David. He did the cover type design and chose the art with the green background and purple cookie-cutter people. I designed the rest of the CD and cassette inserts and coordinated the production.

The red duotone works well against the green art, warming up the otherwise black and white photos, allowing the black text to stand out more effectively. The lyrics run over the photos on the inside, following a vertical line that adds an element of structure to the overall design.

My favorite part of this design is the tilted photo on the back of the trayliner, with the names of the songs balancing perfectly in the white space of the photograph.
